The ceremony and reception were at Il Bella Gardens (www.ilbellagardens.com). Another one of the beautiful ceremony reception sites in Stanly County. Kim and Larry McIlwaine have created a wonderful venue behind their home on 20 acres. Kim also is owner of The Bride’s Choice (www.thebrideschoicenc.com) bridal shop and is a wedding planner. Catering was handled by Tailgaters Sports Bar and Grill (www.tailgatorssportsgrill.com) and photography was Song Kim Photography.
Ceremony was beautiful, reception was great. On the introductions, each couple came in to a song of their choice and did a dance coming in. One of the best introductions ever. Lots of dancing and a good time for everyone.
Stony Mountain Vineyards (www.stonymountainvineyards.com) was the site of the Watkins/Keeney wedding and reception. This is an ideal venue for a reception that is not too large. The outside deck has a beautiful view of the Uwharrie Mountains. Catering by CJ(www.cateringbycj.com) took care of the catering. Emily Slaughter with Southern Star Photography (www.southernstarphotography.com) did a great job on the photos.
A fun couple=a fun reception and this was a fun couple and reception.
The Johnson/Thomas wedding and reception was held at Dennis Vineyards (www.dennisvineyards.com). Dennis vineyards seems like home to me. I grew up less than a mile from this location and I have known the Dennis family most of my life. Amy and Sandon are great people to work with and they have a beautiful ceremony/reception site. Gino’s of Wingate catered the event and Massey Photography (www.masseydigitalphotography.com) took care of the photos. The groom is a farmer so the wedding was a John Deere theme. I wasn’t sure how this was going to work out but I was pleasantly suprised and everything turned out great. The bride and bridesmaids performed a special dance for the groom that was a hoot. Of course the couple left the reception in a John Deere tractor.
After over a year of not blogging due to hackers trashing my site, I missed writing about all the great times I have as a DJ so I’m going to try it again.
